About Us
Scarletta Press was founded in February 2005. Initial board members and investors: Ian Graham Leask, the author of The Wounded and Other Stories About Sons and Fathers, literary consultant, and producer of KFAI’s popular “WriteOn! Radio” program; James Beardsley, retired CEO of Masterlock, Inc., and Nancy Tuminelly, cofounder and Vice President of Mighty Media, Inc. In 2006 Scarletta’s board and staff expanded to include David Unowsky, founder of The Hungry Mind Bookstore in St. Paul, publisher of the Hungry Mind Review and partner of Ruminator Books. Editor Alexei Esikoff joined Scarletta in October 2006.
